Facts about car - First in the History

The World’s First self-propelled vehicle (World’s First automobile) was built in 1672 by Ferdinand Verbiest. It was a steam powered vehicle and was 25.6 inches long.




The World’s First petrol-powered automobile (World’s First modern automobile) in 1886 by Karl Benz.




The World’s First Car race was held in 1895 in Chicago, United States with Frank Dureyea winning with an average speed of 71.5 mph.

 
   

The World’s First Car accident happened in 1769. The damaged vehicle is still preserved in Conservatoire Nationale des arts et metiers in Paris, the capital city of France.




The World’s First purpose built motor car racing circuit (Brooklands) was opened in 1907 in Weybridge, Surrey, England.
