Facts about Hollywood- Casualty in the History

1. Brittany Murphy was an American film and stage actress, singer and voice artist. Reportedly, Murphy died from a cardiac arrest while in the shower while her husband accused the pressure of the film industry for her demise. Her death certificate listed the cause of death as ‘deferred’.




2. Donald Cortez Don Cornelius was the legendary creator of the dance/music franchise ‘Soul Train’ was found in dead in Mulholland with a self-inflicted gunshot aimed at his head. It has been rumoured to have been a case of dementia or Alzheimer’s that might have pushed him to take his life.
 



3. . The Hollywood Film ‘Rebel without a Cause’ three star’s met an untimely and an unnatural death.  James Dean died in a car crash in 1955 at the age of 24, Natalie Wood drowned to death in 1981 at the age of 43 and Sal Mineo was stabbed to death in 1976 at the age of 37.




4. The First Hollywood Film to record sound and dialogue on location was ‘The Viking’ in 1931 directed by George Melford. It is also known for the number of fatalities ever in a production of a film where during shooting of the film, 26 people along with the Director and the Cinematographer died.
