Facts about Car- Development (Car Part-2) in the History

1.  The First Auto company that introduced the Hand Brake, located on driver’s left was Packard Motor Car Company of Detroit, Michigan in 1914.




2. The First Car with an actual Air Conditioning system was 1940 model Packard by Packard Motor Car Company of Detroit, Michigan.




3. The First Rear-View Mirrors were invented by an Engineer and a Car maker, named Ray Harroun. The invention took place right before his Indianapolis 500 race on May 30, 1911. However Elmer C.A.Berger, an inventor is credited for the invention in the early 1900s.




4. The First Anti Brake System (ABS) or Anti-lock Brake System was invented by the French automotive and Aircraft pioneer, Gabriel Voisin. Around 1970’s Chrysler Corporation inducted the system.
