3. The Shortest performance to win an Oscar for the Best supporting Actor was Anthony Quinn for his eight-minute act as Gauguin in ‘Lust for Life’ in 1956.




4. The Shortest performance to win an Oscar for the Best supporting Actress was Beatrice Straight for her five minutes and 40 seconds act in ‘Network’ in 1976.




5. The First African-American to win an Oscar was Hattie McDaniel for the Film ‘Gone with the Wind’ in 1939. She was chosen the best supporting actress for her role as Mammy.
